I had suffered for 30 years with inherited gum disease, which meant that I would get an infection in a tooth and that tooth would become loose and lost in a short time after. Eventually I had lost all of my upper teeth and had a denture fitted which I disliked intensely. Some 2 years later my final lower teeth succumbed to the gum disease and the thought of a full mouth of dentures did not please me at all.

At this point I decided to seek out a local dental practice with an Implant specialist, initially for a consultation which would enable me to decide if it was a possibility. One of my big worries was how long would I be without teeth as I own a small business and spend most of the day on the telephone.

My first visit to Ringley Park Practice and Meeting Henk and his nurse Sharon allayed most of my fears immediately. I felt comfortable and at ease and most important confident that I was in the right place with the right people.

Over the next 3 months two or three visits were required for various fittings and measurements. Then the day came to have the lower teeth fitted to the implants, this was indeed a momentous occasion for me, I had real teeth again that didn't slide about, suffice to say I immediately made arrangements to have my upper jaw fitted with implants.

I have had both sets for almost a year and know I made the right decision. It really is just like having your own teeth back, I feel confident and simple things that I could not previously enjoy like crunching an apple, eating spare ribs or crusty bread rolls are now possible it really is the best thing I could have done.

I wanted to drop you a line to say how very pleased we are with your handiwork of yesterday. Jessica is so thrilled with her smile now and I was absolutely amazed at the end result. She is absolutely over the moon and infact I think it is the best £500 I have spent in a long while! The effect is fantastic, yet with the minimum of fuss.

A big thank you then for great work and "making the difference". All her friends at a party last night said how fantastic her teeth look.

For many, many years I had always wanted to have my teeth realigned to make them look better and easier to clean. Upon becoming registered at the Ringley Park practice I expressed this wish and they recommended 'Invisalign'. The treatment lasted some two years and involved me wearing custom-made braces or aligners for both my upper and lower teeth for as long as possible outside of meal-times. Every two weeks I changed my aligners so that gradually my teeth moved into the desired positions. None of my friends knew I was having the treatment as the aligners are nearly invisible. With no metal or sharp edges they are also comfortable to wear. The Ringley Park practice supervised the progressive movement of my teeth at regular intervals making fine adjustments as necessary.

I am really pleased with the results and wish now I had sought out this treatment many years earlier.

I recently had an appointment with Paul Barnes and felt I wanted him to know just how much my well being had improved since I first saw him. I couldn't bear anyone to come near me with a camera, disliked having my photograph taken and certainly wasn't able to smile openly, I had more of a grin which affected my confidence. Losing your front teeth was for me a fairly traumatic decision to make and one I can now honestly say I wish I had done many years earlier. I had a bridge which had come loose and having already had several extractions both top and bottom it was necessary for me to have a denture. My confidence now is so positive, I smile endlessly, chat easily and do not fear having my photograph taken. This year I am lady captain at my golf club and my portrait hangs in the lounge. I am amazed that this confident, smiling lady is the same person prior to seeing Paul. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for my self esteem.
